Kishu Binchotan
CHF 15.00

The purifying Binchotan charcoal is hand-burned from the
Japanese holm oak in Kishu, Japan, by hand. It is mainly used to purify tap water without having to use a plastic filter. Minerals such as potassium and magnesium are added to the water. The pH value of the water changes and it is ionized. Binchotan charcoal absorbs limescale, chlorine, heavy metals, fluorides, pesticides and drug residues such as antibiotics.

Instructions for use:

1. remove loose particles from the charcoal stick under running water.

2. boil for approx. 10 minutes to activate the charcoal.

3. place the charcoal in a carafe of water. The water forms fine bubbles and the difference in taste is already noticeable after 1 hour. If used regularly, the charcoal should be boiled again every 3-4 weeks. Depending on the water quality and usage, a piece of charcoal can be used for around 4-6 months. After that, you can put it in a plant pot, where it will provide the soil with valuable nutrients.
