In Japan, wasabi is traditionally grated using a grater made from shark skin. The abrasive surface is ideal for breaking up the dense texture of the wasabi root, allowing the wasabi to develop its full flavour potential.

By the way: This grater can also be used for peeling citrus fruits (and much more).

Application:

When grating horseradish, start with the leaf side and grate in circles. The result is a creamy paste with a strong flavour.

Product care:

Wash off after use (do not hold under running water for too long!) and leave to air dry.
