Kairagi Bowl
CHF 42.00

Simple and unique texture

The kairagi pottery technique was first used for the Ido tea bowl from the 16th century. The mould is easy to stack and is ideal for everyday use.

The texture of the kairagi glaze is reminiscent of the finely granulated skin of sharks (shagreen), which was used to cover tins, boxes and books, for example. Swords were also wrapped in shagreen.
