The curry hub has been specially developed for curry fans and is ideal for the daily preparation of soups and stews. The gentle and even heat distribution of the Curry Nabe helps the ingredients to slowly develop their spicy (umami) flavour without the ingredients falling apart. The donabe can also be heated without liquid inside so that ingredients can be fried or roasted in it. As a traditional clay donabe, it offers a natural way of cooking. The food inside continues to cook for a while even after the heat has been switched off.

The curry nabe is made by Nagatani-en, a leading manufacturer of authentic Iga-yaki pottery. Each donabe is carefully made by hand over a period of around two weeks. The clay from the Iga region is naturally very heat-resistant and has been used for cooking over an open flame for many hundreds of years.
