Cast Iron Nabe 30cm
CHF 280.00

With a diameter of 30 cm, this Japanese cast iron pot (nabe) is suitable for 4 people. It is used for stews (nabemono). As little energy is required to maintain the temperature, it is particularly suitable for longer cooking.
In Japan, by the way, stews are often cooked at the table using a table-top oven. A lovely, communal event that can provide a lot of enjoyment and fun.

Manufactured by NANBU IKENAGA using the Nambu Tekki process, this cast iron pot is made from pure, controlled iron sand and has a fine surface.

Nambu Tekki is a traditional handicraft that requires a complex and complicated production process and is made by experienced craftsmen with at least 15 years of training.

The lid is made of natural wood and can therefore vary in grain and colour. A tawashi brush should be used for cleaning. It is important to dry the hub well after washing to prevent rusting.
