Daruma H25cm
CHF 65.00

Daruma are popular good luck charms in Japan that people give to others or to themselves when they have a wish. The greater the wish, the greater the Daruma.

Depicted is Bodhidharma (Dharma). Legend has it that Dharma once meditated for nine years and lost his legs as a result - for this reason the Daruma is depicted without legs. The daruma are traditionally red, based on the color of the priest`s robe.

Approach:
Daruma dolls symbolize perseverance, persistence and luck. When you have a wish, color in the right eye on the doll (as seen from you). Place the doll in a place where you will see it often to constantly remind yourself of your wish. Once your wish has come true, color in the right eye.
