Odawara Furin – Suzu
CHF 38.00

In Japan, furin (風鈴) are more than just pretty summer decorations - their gentle tinkling is said to suggest a fresh breeze on hot days and drive away evil spirits. They are traditionally hung on temples and houses to ward off negative energy and generate positive vibrations by activating the universal Qi energy.

This pretty brass wind chime beguiles with its beautiful clear sound. The Japanese workshop has adopted the tradition of Odawara casting. Odawara City (Kanagawa Prefecture) is a casting production area with over 800 years of history. Each furin is made by hand. The pattern and arrangement, shape and colour of the individual items may vary accordingly.

Immortalise your wish on the included paper flag - the wind will carry it away, and with a bit of luck it will be fulfilled when the flag tears due to natural weathering.

DID YOU KNOW? ...
Suzu (錫) is also a female first name in Japan and means "bell" or "box".
