Kukicha (100g)
CHF 17.50

Kukicha is a special type of green tea made from stems and twigs. Unlike other green teas that consist only of leaves, the use of stems and twigs gives Kukicha a unique flavor that is sweet and herbal with marine notes.

The production of kukicha dates back to Japan, where farmers made a tea from the leftover stems and twigs after selling the more valuable parts. The name kukicha is made up of the Japanese words "kuki" (twig) and "cha" (tea).

Kukicha is finely roasted and is naturally caffeine-free, making it an ideal tea for any time of day. This tea also has alkalizing properties and contains high concentrations of relaxing theanine and antioxidants. As a macrobiotic tea, it is a rich source of nutrients such as calcium, vitamin C and folic acid and supports healthy digestion, helps detoxify the body, regulates blood sugar levels and improves mental health. Kukicha is especially suitable for children, pregnant women and the elderly.
