Shibori Bag - Bellflower
CHF 14.50

A bag that we all love at hōmu! It owes its lightness and elasticity to the Miura Shibori technique, also known as loop weave.

Japanese flowers served as inspiration for the vibrant colours.

DID YOU KNOW? ...
Miura Shibori is a loop weave. Parts of the fabric are plucked out with a hooked needle. A thread is then looped twice around each part. The thread is not knotted, but the tension keeps the pieces in place.
Shibori (絞り), on the other hand, is a Japanese manual dyeing technique that traditionally creates a series of different patterns on fabrics. The word shibori means to squeeze or wring out. The technique is often compared to the well-known batik.
