Tenugui - Alphabet
CHF 16.00

Design: Hiragana is one of the Japanese script alphabets and consists of 46 characters that represent syllables. It is used to write grammatical endings, particles, words without kanji spelling and onomatopoeia.

A towel with a thousand talents:
Tenugui are traditional cotton cloths that are far more than just simple towels. Whether as a tea towel, sweat towel, head covering, gift wrap, wall decoration or table runner - Tenugui can be used in a variety of ways in everyday life and are valued as all-rounders in Japan.

Thanks to their fine mesh and smooth texture, these Japanese cotton towels are very hard-wearing and absorbent. The production of Tenugui is a craft with a long tradition. The patterns are printed onto the fabric by hand in an elaborate process. This attention to detail and the use of high-quality materials make each Tenugui unique.

Care instructions:
Please wash separately by hand and do not soak. Due to the hand-dyeing process, there may be slight loss of color at first. Allow the cloth to air dry after washing. The Tenugui cloths are not hemmed at both ends, so they may fray at first. Excess threads can be cut off with scissors.
