DESIGN COMPANY OF DESIGNER OKI SATO

Nendo is a design company of Japanese designer Oki Sato (1977). Since 2002 he is one of the most famous contemporary designers in the world. He has won countless awards from magazines and institutions such as Dezeen, Wallpaper and Maison & Objet and his work has been collected by the Museum of Modern Art in New York, musée des arts décoratifs in Paris, Victoria and Albert Museum in London and many others. Sato has been known to work on four hundred projects at a time, creating poetic, minimalist objects with a humorous twist, often consisting only of outlines.

"Design is good when my grandmother and small children understand my ideas immediately." Architect and designer Oki Sato names his practice after the Japanese word for "dough." An indication that his designs are created in a very playful way.

GLOO SERIES

The Gloo series was designed to resolve subtle tensions gained from research by users of the current products, with questions such as "Where will the cap be placed when removed from the product?" or "Is the current shape really easy to hold and wear?"

The main body of the products was done in matte white, and the logo and other information were printed in small font with medium contrast so that it would not look unnecessarily informative on the desk.
