In the southern prefecture of Osaka, more precisely in the Senshu region, cotton is processed into perfect bath towels. Shinto Towels are manufactured by a family business that has been perfecting its craft for over four generations. The shuttle looms on which the towels are woven on, come from the turn of the century and are maintained and guarded like time-honored monuments. It is said that modern machines are not capable of producing this quality.
